2025 MTV Video Music Awards: first performers and nominees!

The live broadcast of the MTV Video Music Awards 2025 ceremony in New York at the UBS Arena will take place for the second time and, as expected, promises to be a star-studded evening! Several weeks after the announcement of the nominees, MTV released the first batch of performers, including some of the biggest names in the music industry. From pop icons to rap leaders, below is the list of the first batch of performers.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2025 ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 8:00 pm Eastern Time / 5:00 pm Pacific Time.

The second batch of performers has not been announced at the time of publication. At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, Sabrina delivered a memorable performance. Performing her biggest hits from «Espresso» to «Please Please Please», - Sabrina was accompanied by astronauts and aliens, one of whom she shared a kiss with during the performance. She was also awarded the VMA for Song of the Year.
In addition to her performance, Ricky will also receive the Latin American «Icon» award at this VMA ceremony. Busta Rhymes will also receive the MTV VMA «Rock the Bells Visionary Award».
The VMA ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and MTV channels, and viewers with a Paramount+ Premium plan will be able to watch the ceremony live.
Those with a basic Paramount+ plan will not be able to watch the VMA ceremony live; the show will be available for viewing the next day
