50 Cent will play the role of Balrog in the movie «Street Fighter» and shared his impressions at the premiere in Los Angeles. He talked about how he used to play the game «Street Fighter» in arcade machines at a local Chinese restaurant during his childhood.
Preparing for the role required significant effort from him. 50 Cent noted that he had to train a lot, spending almost three hours a day in the gym. He also used cryotherapy for quick recovery after workouts. To create Balrog’s unique hairstyle, he shaved his head, which was a real challenge. «I didn’t have a beard, and my hair was growing in different directions», - he said, adding that in the last days before filming, he was advised not to shave to create a light stubble.
Additionally, 50 Cent mentioned the film’s soundtrack, which includes an alternative version of Tupac’s song «Ambitionz Az a Ridah», - titled «Ambitionz Az a Fighta». He explained that Tupac originally wrote this version for Mike Tyson, and he adapted it for the film’s theme.
The movie «Street Fighter» will be released on October 16.
