Adam Brody talks about life in marriage with Leighton Meester

Adam Brody shared the lessons he has learned from more than a decade of marriage to Leighton Meester. In an interview with Elle magazine, he noted that there is a duality in each of us. «Sometimes I feel mature and responsible, and sometimes — like a little boy, and I can’t believe I’m this old», - Brody said.
He added that in order for a relationship to be long-lasting and serious, one must come to terms with certain things. «You have to be ready for change. Not to change the essence of who you are, but to consider the wants and needs of the other person. You won’t always be right, and that’s something you have to accept. Being right all the time is much easier when you’re single», - the actor noted.
Brody and Meester started dating in 2013 and got married in 2014. The couple has two children: a daughter, Arlo, born in 2015, and a son, whose name has not been disclosed, born in 2020.
Adam Brody also shared that he first met Leighton Meester when she was filming the series «Gossip Girl», - and they later reconnected while filming the movie «Citrus» in 2011. He recalled how they were introduced by producer Josh Schwartz and noted that for several years they crossed paths through mutual friends before they began dating.
