Adam Brody is attracting attention as he prepares to play a charismatic rabbi in the upcoming Netflix series «Nobody Wants This».
The 44-year-old actor stars alongside Kristen Bell in the series, which explores the turbulent relationship of their characters as they navigate differences in their careers and personalities. The trailer for the show was released on Thursday, August 29. Kristen Bell, also 44 years old, shared a clip on her Instagram where her character, Joanna, hosts a podcast with her sister Morgan (played by Justine Lupe), which often discusses relationships. The trailer shows Adam’s character, Noah, humorously dealing with his role as a rabbi.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the description of the series reads: «When they come together — an unexpected pair, Joanna and Noah, feel like there’s something between them… But also between them, with their different views on life, all the modern obstacles to love, and sometimes conscientious, sometimes self-destructive families — including her sister Morgan and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons)».
Director Erin Foster shared her inspiration for the upcoming project in a conversation with Tudum, saying: «This show is based on the one good decision I ever made: falling in love with a good Jewish guy… I realized that being happy is much harder than being unhappy — there’s nothing to complain about. So I created this show based on all the ways finding the right person can be so difficult».
She added: «This show really reflects my view on love now, which is so different from how I saw it before… Being in really beautiful, healthy, fun relationships made me soften some of my cynicism».
«Nobody Wants This», also starring Emily Arlook, Stephanie Faracy, Timothy Simons, and others, will be available to watch on Netflix on September 26, immediately after all 10 episodes are released
