Alex Spiro is defending New York City Mayor Eric Adams in connection with his charges of fraud and bribery, but this is not the first high-profile case for the lawyer. After several successful past cases, Spiro has likely accumulated a significant fortune. However, the Harvard-educated lawyer has kept a low profile, representing public figures for many years.

It is unknown what Spiro’s net worth is. Currently, he is a partner at Quinn Emanuel Trial Lawyers in New York. According to the firm, the lawyer has been involved in more than 50 cases before verdicts were reached.

Although Spiro’s net worth is unknown, New York lawyers have reported earnings in recent years ranging from $ 100,000 to $ 300,000 in various professional networks and websites.

Spiro was Alec Baldwin’s defense attorney in 2024 when the actor faced charges related to the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie «Rust». In July, Spiro filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Baldwin due to withheld evidence. The motion was granted, and Baldwin cannot be retried on the charge.

Since 2019, Spiro has been working with Elon Musk. That year, the lawyer successfully defended the CEO of Tesla Motors in a defamation case. Later, Spiro represented Musk in a lawsuit with Tesla shareholders and the acquisition of SolarCity. In 2022, the lawyer again helped Musk when he took control of X (formerly known as Twitter). Spiro reportedly also played a role in the company’s legal team.

In 2023, Spiro defended Musk in a securities fraud case, and ultimately Musk was found not guilty.

After federal agents conducted a search at Adams' residence, Gracie Mansion, to seize his phone, Spiro released a statement assuring the public that his client «would gladly hand it over» to authorities.

«They sent a dozen agents to take the phone when we would have gladly given it to them», - Spiro said. «Federal agents showed up this morning at Gracie Mansion in an attempt to stage a show (again) and take [Adams' phone] (again). He was not arrested, and he looks forward to his day in court»
