A Pennsylvania attorney has surrendered to police after being accused of stealing more than $ 156,000 from two clients, including an elderly man whose bank account was drained to $ 26. Andrew S. Neville, an attorney whose license has been suspended, is charged with financial exploitation of an elderly person, identity theft, theft by deception, forgery, and receiving stolen property, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
Neville, 40, of Pensacola, New Jersey, allegedly used part of the stolen funds for gambling and to pay rent for his home and law firm. He was arrested on felony charges on October 23 after turning himself in to police. Bail was set at $ 250,000.
The investigation against Neville began on October 2, 2025, after a woman reported a possible theft from her late mother’s estate. Neville had been responsible for providing legal services for the estate case since October 2024. During the investigation, it was found that he stole $ 113,150 from the estate after consolidating the funds in one bank. He attempted to illegally withdraw money through 46 unauthorized transactions from January to May 2025.
It was also revealed that Neville stole money from a second client, a 76-year-old man who appointed him as his representative in March 2024. Neville added himself to the man’s bank account and made 26 unauthorized transactions totaling $ 43,631.78 from July 2024 to May 2025. By the following month, only $ 26.21 remained in the account.
Neville’s license was suspended by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on June 23. On September 25, he went to the Newtown police station and allegedly confessed to stealing from his clients, explaining his actions by citing medical issues and a gambling addiction. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office reported that Neville has not returned any of the stolen amounts.
