The reasons for the death of actor R. J. Mitte, star of the series «Breaking Bad», - who passed away at the age of 34, have become known. Mitte’s representative confirmed to Us that he died by suicide in Texas on October 12.
According to the Brownsville police, law enforcement arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call around 12:50 PM local time and found Mitte’s body. A police spokesperson noted that the causes and circumstances of the death are still being investigated.
On the same day, the actor’s representative expressed condolences and highlighted his career and work as an advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. The statement read: «It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic death of beloved actor, philanthropist, and active advocate for the rights of people with disabilities R. J. Mitte». He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three and used his experience to raise awareness about issues faced by people with disabilities.
Mitte is best known for his role as Walter «Flynn» White Jr. in «Breaking Bad», - where his character also had cerebral palsy. Additionally, he appeared in projects such as «Switched at Birth» and «Guardians of Justice». In October 2025, Mitte announced his engagement to girlfriend Kennedy Suarez after four years of being together.
