Born on May 11, 1970 in South Dakota, Katt began his acting career at the age of 7, making one of his first appearances in the 1977 TV series «CHiPs».
He continued to work steadily in the late 70s and early 80s, landing roles in shows such as «Quincy, M.E». (1976), «Father Murphy» (1981), «Herbie, the Love Bug» (1982) and «V» (1984).
Katt’s breakthrough came with a role in the cult film «Dazed and Confused» in 1993, directed by Richard Linklater, where he played a high school troublemaker and wannabe greaser Clint Bruno. He appeared on screen alongside actors who would become stars, such as Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, and Parker Posey.
