Actress Bethany Weaver has become the new Dorothy Gale in the film Wicked: For Good

Now that Wicked: For Good has been released in theaters, fans are meeting the new Dorothy Gale: actress Bethany «Beth» Weaver! Eighty-five years after the late Judy Garland created the role, Bethany stepped into the silver slippers for the second part of the Wicked movie.
Describing her participation as a «life-changing experience», - Bethany wrote about her time on the set of Wicked: For Good in a post on Instagram, published after the film’s release in November 2025.
«It was a life-changing experience; it changed me in many ways and, most importantly, for the better», - Bethany wrote in her caption to several photos of herself in the Dorothy costume. «It was an honor to carry on the legacy of the brilliant women who stepped into these shoes and set off down the yellow brick road. I hope I made them proud. Thank you for the overwhelming amount of love, kind messages, and support from all my friends and family, as well as from the amazing Wicked fans, I love you all very much!
