British television presenter Alison Hammond was hospitalized after unexpectedly leaving the set of the show «This Morning». This occurred during a live broadcast on Friday, October 2, when Hammond, 51, quickly left the set while her co-host Dermot O’Leary was speaking with veterinarian Dr. Scott Miller on the phone.
O’Leary informed viewers that Hammond was «a little unwell» and «had to leave». He later clarified that she would not be returning for the remainder of the episode after «feeling a bit poorly».
Hammond commented on her quick departure via Instagram Stories, posting a video from her hospital room. She reassured fans, saying, «Hello, my darlings, I know you are all worried about me. Honestly, I am fine, first of all. I am checking my heart after having a few little palpitations, and now I am being examined».
She added that she hopes it was just a minor panic attack. Hammond expressed gratitude to her fans for their support and apologized for her departure: «I love you all. Thank you for your kind messages. I’m so sorry I left you. I would never have done this if I wasn’t unwell».
