Amanda Knox had to rebuild her life after being found guilty and imprisoned for a crime she was later acquitted of. After Sollecito and Knox were acquitted, she became a writer and got married. So, does Knox have children?
Read on to learn more about Knox’s life, family, and career.
Yes, Knox has been married to her husband Christopher Robinson since 2018. They secretly got married that year, and then had an official wedding ceremony with family and friends in 2020.
Yes, Knox shares two children with her husband: daughter Eureka and son Echo. Eureka, 4 years old, used to ask her mother about her life story, to which Knox jokingly replied during an interview for Today in August 2025: «Of course, my daughter seems to take after her mother and is very interested in stories».
«I have always been amazed, first and foremost, at how my mother helped me get through this terrible experience», - explained Knox. «But also, even when I tell this story to her, sometimes my daughter wants to play pretend 'Mom went to Italy'. She finds, for example, bars on the playground and says, 'Look, I’m Mom in prison'. And it’s just, like, a switch — 'Oh, it’s a game'. It’s not just a horrible traumatic experience. It’s also a game we can play together with my daughter. It’s just the lightness of children that really helps me carry this weight».
Knox also described a «simple» way to tell her daughter about her dramatic past.
«Just, 'When Mom was young, Mom went to Italy, and she made friends and had fun, but then someone hurt her friend, and the police thought Mom hurt her friend, so they put Mom in prison'», - explained Knox, and then added: «'Mom was in prison for a long time, and she was very sad. But one day, Mom proved she was innocent, and they let her go home, and then she met your dad and had you, and they lived happily ever after'».
Knox is now an author, journalist, and activist. She has published two books: «Waiting to be Heard: A Memoir» and «Freedom». She also hosts her own podcast called «The Truth About True Crime».
As an activist, Knox returned to Italy to speak as a keynote speaker at the Italian Innocence Project’s criminal justice conference.
Knox has also been involved in film for many years — first, appearing in the Netflix documentary «Amanda Knox», then serving as an executive producer for the Hulu series «Amanda Knox: Distorted History» in 2025
