Anna Camp was inspired by popular reality show host Ariana Madix while hosting a new HGTV project called «Very Scary Renovation». In an interview with Us Weekly, Camp, 43, noted that she considers herself the «Ariana Madix of HGTV», - adding that Madix is her hero in the reality show world.
«Very Scary Renovation», - which premiered on September 15, follows six designers who work for 31 days on the renovation of the famous Victorian house Bilh Manor in Fremont, Ohio, known for its ghosts. The participants must not only live and work in this house but also face elimination challenges, creating a tense atmosphere.
Camp shared that sometimes the contestants seriously stated that they were not looking to make friends, which added to the tension of the process. She tried to lighten the mood with jokes, but the producer reminded her of the seriousness of the situation.
The actress, known for her roles in horror films such as «From Black» and «Scream 7», - also shared her passion for HGTV and how interesting it was for her to host a ghost-related show. She noted that many strange events occurred during filming and even recounted her recent «ghostly» experiences in New York, where strange things happened with her clothes and the trash can lid in her Airbnb.
New episodes of «Very Scary Renovation» air on Tuesdays at 8 PM Eastern Time on HGTV.
