Antonio Cipriano supported the change in book order in «Off Campus»

Actor Antonio Cipriano, star of the series «Off Campus», - supports the producers' decision to deviate from the order of El Kennedy’s books in the adaptation. In an interview with Elite Daily published on October 13, he noted that he is ready to take on the lead role of his character John Logan, although it may require him a bit more time.
The producers of the series previously confirmed that the second season will be based on Kennedy’s third book «The Score», - which centers around hockey player Dean Hayward-De Laurentiis and aspiring actress Ellie Hayes. The third season of «Off Campus» has not yet been approved by Amazon, but it may adapt Kennedy’s second book «The Mistake», - which explores the relationship between John Logan and freshman Grace Ivers.
Cipriano also shared that he was aware of the change in the adaptation order during the audition stage. He believes this decision is justified, as Ellie is a close friend of the main character from the first season, Hannah. In his interview, he emphasized that he is excited about the opportunity to observe the development of the plot and draw inspiration from his colleagues on set.
The actor also hinted at the development of the relationship between John and Grace, noting that he immediately felt chemistry with actress India Fowler. The second and potential third seasons will also explore John’s complicated relationship with his sister Jules, an original character created specifically for the show.
Cipriano added that as a middle child, he understands what it’s like to be a «peacemaker» in the family, which adds complexity to his character, who is torn between the desire to play in the NHL and supporting his family. The premiere of «Off Campus» is expected on Prime Video in 2027.
