«The officers barged in and stormed the cockpit», - the witness told the publication. «They took out the second pilot, handcuffed him, presumably arrested him, and returned him back through the aisle for disembarkation. I don’t know if this person disappeared before our eyes, if a crime was committed, or what exactly was happening».
The passenger added that the moment was «terrifying» and «traumatic to watch».
A source identified as a «senior federal» informant told Fox Business that the second pilot was detained on charges of distributing materials with child sexual erotica.
Although the National Security Service and the Transportation Security Administration did not respond to inquiries from other news agencies, a representative of the National Security Investigations Service in San Francisco told the San Francisco Chronicle that they assisted local officers in executing the arrest warrant for the second pilot.
