Ashley Biden, the youngest daughter of Joe Biden, became the center of attention when she ended her 13-year marriage to husband Dr. Howard Krein.
On August 11, 2025, the former first daughter, 44 years old, filed for divorce in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, as reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer. On the same day, she posted — and then deleted — a photo on her Instagram Story with a raised thumb under Beyoncé's song «Freedom». She also shared a message: «New life, new beginnings mean new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like before», - set to the music of Lauryn Hill’s «Freedom Time».

He is also actively involved in healthcare innovation, serving as the chief medical officer at a venture capital firm focused on medical startups. The couple was introduced by Ashley’s late brother Beau, and they married in a Catholic ceremony in Delaware attended by their families.
Before Ashley’s wedding, Biden told PEOPLE magazine that Krein was the «right guy» and added: «And he’s getting an incredible woman».
