Searchlight TV and 20th Television are referring to the new era of the show as the «next chapter in the world of Buffy», - although there is no official name for the series yet. The new project looks appealing to fans, especially considering that the show is returning after 20 years, and the first episode will be directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao.
The script for the new show will be written by the creators of «Poker Face», - Nora and Lilla Zuckerman. And to save the best for last, Dolly Parton will be a producer of the show! Interesting fact: she was also a producer of the original version! Although Sarah is keeping quiet about the project, she shared: «If Dolly Parton calls me, I’m always ready to take a call from the queen», - according to Us Weekly.
We wonder if Dolly did this behind the scenes! Just one day after the news was confirmed, Sarah posted a photo on her Instagram of herself in pajamas with sushi on them, which fans remember she wore in the fourth season of the series. She captioned the photo with a sushi emoji, and old fans understand what that tasty Easter egg means. She’s taking a page from Taylor Swift, apparently!
