Barbara Sprouse (née Palvin) is going to be a mom! The Hungarian model, fashion icon, and wife of actor Dylan Sprouse, known for the series «The Suite Life of Zack & Cody», - announced her pregnancy at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026, showcasing her growing baby bump in a stunning blue chiffon dress. This news delighted fans, although some recalled Barbara’s struggle with endometriosis, which she spoke about last year.
Here’s what we know about Barbara’s diagnosis, health, and pregnancy based on her public statements.
Endometriosis is a chronic, often painful condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, according to the Mayo Clinic. This condition often affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic tissues.
Barbara announced her endometriosis diagnosis in a candid Instagram post in August 2025. In her message, she acknowledged that she had «not been in touch» on social media for a while.
«Just a little update and some thoughts for those who might relate to what I’m about to share», - Barbara began. «For several years, I have been facing difficulties related to menstruation: fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular bleeding, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it was supposed to be. But recently, I was advised to see a specialist for endometriosis to find out if my symptoms were caused by that».
After noting that she had «been going for gynecological check-ups every year», - Barbara suggested that by that time, she should have already known if she had endometriosis.
«I thought that if I had endometriosis, I would already know about it, but as it turns out, endometriosis cannot be diagnosed during routine check-ups», - Barbara explained. «I went for an examination, and three months later, I had surgery».
After the surgery, the former Victoria’s Secret angel «finally experienced a period that was easier». She took the opportunity to urge her fans to seek medical help if they suspect they have endometriosis.
«This helped me a lot, and I’m grateful I did it», - she continued. «Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications, and now I am more attentive to my body to respond quickly if necessary».
Barbara has not yet revealed the baby’s gender. However, she and Dylan included a photo of their ultrasound in an Instagram post from the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026
