Barry Keoghan broke his silence on rumors of a breakup with Sabrina Carpenter.
Keoghan seemed to debunk the breakup rumors on Wednesday morning through his activity on Instagram. The Irish actor commented on a photo with Bratz dolls, mimicking a scene from Sabrina’s latest music video for the song «Taste», - in which she stars alongside Jenna Ortega.
Keoghan’s playful comment «Can I have one?» under the post was interpreted by fans as a sign that he is still in a relationship with the American singer.
Earlier on August 16, fans speculated that Keoghan liking one of Carpenter’s posts on Instagram was a subtle hint of his ongoing support for her. The post featured a seductive cover for Carpenter’s Short n' Sweet Bonus Track LP album, where the 25-year-old pop star poses in blue lingerie and high heels.
Carpenter spoke highly of Keoghan in an interview with The Guardian, reflecting on their collaboration in her music video for Please, Please, Please. «One of my best experiences. I am very grateful, and I was lucky to work with such a great actor!» she said, echoing similar statements from an interview for Variety on August 6: «I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he is one of the best actors of this generation».
