Bebe Rexha shared a touching moment of interaction with Taylor Swift that has stayed with her for many years. The singer recounted her experience with Swift during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, which took place on September 27 in Los Angeles.
Rexha recalled how in 2019, when she faced difficulties finding a dress for the Grammys, Swift reached out to support her. «I remember when I had that whole situation with the Grammys, and I couldn’t find a dress, and she reached out because we’re the same age», - Rexha told E! News. She noted that it was a very kind gesture on Swift’s part, as no one else had shown such support.
In 2019, Rexha also reached out to designers on Instagram, pointing out that many of them refused to dress her because of her figure. «I'm finally nominated for a Grammy, and it’s the coolest thing in my life», - she said in a remote video. The singer emphasized that many designers did not want to work with her because her size was considered too large.
Rexha added that if a size 6 or 8 is considered too large, then that is absurd. She called for women to love their bodies, regardless of size, and not to feel less beautiful because of their appearance.
