According to rumors, Ben Affleck will play WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan in the upcoming movie «Killing Gawker».
The 51-year-old actor, reportedly, will bring the story of the 70-year-old wrestler to life. The film will tell the story of the legal case in which the former fighter was involved when he sued the website Gawker for publishing Hulk’s sex tape. Thanks to this legal battle, Terry Gene Bollea — Hulk Hogan’s real name — won the case and ultimately earned a significant amount of money from the company, with the help of PayPal’s founder Peter Thiel, who had animosity towards the company. Due to their persistence in the fight, the company went bankrupt and closed down.
Alongside the actor from «Gone Girl», his best friend Matt Damon is supposed to play Peter Thiel. If these two friends confirm their roles, it is also said that the film will be produced by their production company Artists Equity.
