Ben Affleck expressed gratitude for his positive relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner regarding co-parenting their children. In an interview with Variety published on October 7, he noted that his life is not filled with sensationalism and shared his routine: «I work hard, and then I pick the kids up from school. We have dinner if they want to spend time with me. They’re with me for a week, then they’re with their mom for a week».
Affleck added that his three children with Garner have «great relationships with their mom», - for which he is also very thankful. He mentioned that his life is currently at a «really wonderful time».
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner met in 2000 while filming «Pearl Harbor» and grew closer while working on «Daredevil» in 2002. The couple began dating in 2004 and married in June 2005. They have three children: the first was born in December 2005, the second in January 2009, and the third in February 2012. In June 2015, they announced their separation, and in April 2017, they filed for divorce, which was finalized in October 2018. They share joint custody of their children.
In the interview, Affleck also noted that his family plays an important role in his production company Artists Equity’s desire to keep Los Angeles as a significant hub for the film industry. He emphasized that he does not want to miss time spent with his children and prefers to work in Los Angeles, where, according to him, the best teams are located.
These comments from Affleck about co-parenting came three months after Garner also spoke positively about her relationship with her ex-husband and their roots in Los Angeles. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in July, she noted that co-parenting with Affleck brings «a little loss», - but it is a «wonderful time» that she wouldn’t trade for anything.
