Ben Affleck candidly spoke about his interactions with ex-wife Jennifer Garner as co-parents. In an interview set to air on October 11, he admitted that he feels like he is not as good a parent compared to Garner. «I think I do about 75% of what your mom does? And they’re like, ‘Eh, maybe 40?'» Affleck noted, laughing at his children’s assessment.
Affleck and Garner are raising three children: Violet (20), Finn (17), and Samuel (14). The couple married in 2005 and announced their separation in 2015, finalizing their divorce in 2018. Despite the split, they continue to work effectively together in raising their children. Garner has previously remarked that Affleck has become an «incredible co-parent» in this process.
In an interview with Variety, Affleck also emphasized that he tries to spend time with his children by picking them up from school and having family dinners. He shared that the children spend one week with him and then one week with their mother. Affleck expressed gratitude to Garner for their co-parenting, adding that this time in his life is very enjoyable.
Additionally, Affleck mentioned that he considered inviting Garner to star in his new film «Animals», - but ultimately decided against it to maintain a separation between his personal life and work.
