Beverly appeared on the podcast «Bachelor Happy Hour» on February 11, 2025, to share what happened behind the scenes. She explained that she dozed off while the other women went on a group date, and woke up with severe abdominal pain that eventually led to vomiting. She shared that she experienced «unbearable pain» and the vomiting lasted for over 12 hours. While in the hospital, she found out she had appendicitis and had to undergo emergency surgery.
Beverly was supposed to have the surgery in California, where the show is filmed, and she was not allowed to fly back to New York alone, so her mother flew to California to help her return home. The contestant shared: «Honestly, it took me a month and a half to emotionally recover. Physically, of course, I was fine, but emotionally — no. I left with the thought 'what if'. Obviously, we were building a connection. He saw and felt the same things I did. And I know they didn’t show a lot of our moments, but we had a lot of sweet moments».
