Who better to lift people’s spirits for the 2024 Paris Olympics than Beyoncé? The singer of «Texas Hold 'Em» released a fantastic video showcasing some of the most famous American athletes in the opening clip. The introduction was accompanied by the track «YA YA» by Cowboy Carter and featured montages of athletes showcasing their skills.
In the video, Beyoncé was dressed in an outfit very similar to the one she wore on the cover of her latest album. She wore a white leotard with «USA» letters printed in blue sequins on the front. The bottom of this costume had a design inspired by the American flag. She also wore a cowboy hat that hinted at the flag. She also wore white cowboy boots with red and blue sequined patterns all over them. She also had a cape surrounding her, which clearly resembled the French flag. «Look at America, friends. These hopes and dreams, these superstars representing us, the people of this great, bold, beautiful, complex nation, all cheering for them together», - she said.
The video was interspersed with athletes' responses to Beyoncé and montages with them. The pop star then congratulated some of the biggest stars preparing to compete for the US team. «Come on, you have to love Noah [Lyles] and Sha’Carri [Richardson]: the fastest man and woman on the planet. They are ready to run with the world at any time, in any place. And what about Caeleb [Dressel]? A proud dad, back in the water for another gold. And Katie [Ledecky]?
