On July 26, Marvel fans finally received confirmation after weeks of speculation. There were rumors that the role would be played by the 36-year-old actress, or her friend Taylor Swift, after fans saw a teaser trailer showing a platinum-blonde woman in a red and black superhero costume from head to toe.
