Alex holds an unexpected press conference to announce her lawsuit against Selene and UBA. As the TMS crew watches her announcement in real time, Selene frantically tries to figure out how to resist. When she and Cory talk on the phone at the last moment, Cory tells her that he is in court to stop Alex, which is a lie. Approaching Alex’s press conference, Cory hands his phone to Chip, who passes it to Alex, as Selene screams into the microphone that she will leave Bradley in Belarus if Alex sues her. The press and viewers hear Selene’s threat, and she subsequently resigns from her position as executive director at UBA.
After that, Alex goes to Belarus alone, while her ex-boyfriend Paul Marks (Jon Hamm) offers to go with her. But Alex wants to do it on her own. She flies to Belarus on a private plane to rescue Bradley from prison.
Bradley gets out of the car and has an emotional reunion with Alex, who tells her that she «changed everything» at UBA. The women sit in the plane together, and the credits roll.
