Brennan from St. Paul has become a new star of comedy in Chicago

Brennan grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later moved to Chicago to pursue comedy.
In 2023, Brennan was selected as one of the «New Faces of Comedy» at the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.
This honor has long been considered a career-launching moment for young comedians. At the time, the festival shared on Instagram: «Every year we eagerly await the announcement of incredible new talents as part of the New Faces of Comedy series. This showcase has propelled the careers of many of today’s most famous comedians and provided the most promising undiscovered talents with an exclusive platform to launch their careers! Brennan performed comedy on The Tonight Show, sharing stories about his childhood among eight siblings.
Together with his comedy colleague Tim Smith, Brennan created the popular web series Roommates-In-Law, which later turned into a podcast.
He recalled how the project started when they both lived in Chicago, telling The Curve magazine: «Tim and I both lived in Chicago, about six blocks apart, and attended a virtual acting class together, started coming up with ideas for shoots together. The first idea was just one sketch, we didn’t have any ideas to start a web series right away. I would go to his house, and we would brainstorm ideas, drink, and discuss them for hours, come up with even more ideas. Finally, we decided, 'let's shoot some of them and create a web series'».
NBC confirmed that Brennan will be one of five new cast members in the 51st season of Saturday Night Live, which will premiere on October 4, 2025. After the announcement, Brennan wrote on social media: «This feels unreal, but we’ll see you on Saturdays!»
