Brooke Shields and Amalia Williamson introduced viewers to a new dynamic duo in the series «You Kill Me». Bestselling author Ellie (Shields) and podcaster and writer Andy (Williamson) are forced to join forces to unravel mysterious incidents and murders in a small New England town.

As the premiere of the first season approaches on Acorn TV, Hollywood Life has prepared a complete guide to the episodes of the first season and everything you need to know about «You Kill Me», - including an exclusive excerpt!

As previously mentioned, Shields plays Ellie, an experienced novelist whose book adaptation deal falls through at the beginning of the season. Williamson, in turn, plays Andy, a twenty-something podcaster and aspiring writer whose popularity comes from her podcast, but with it comes a reputation she doesn’t want.

Since conflicts often arise between the two women throughout the first season, Shields discussed the dynamics of the relationship between Andy and Ellie in an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life.

«Well, the clash of personalities makes it really interesting because we have two different generations, and they can learn a lot from each other», - Shields said at the premiere of «You Kill Me». «She teases me, I tease her, and that’s where the dialogue starts, and it’s funny, you know? It’s funny not to take those differences too seriously and actually learn from each other».

Williamson noted that Andy and Ellie «need each other to succeed in all areas of life», - despite their disagreements.

«I think it’s really hard for her at the beginning, especially because of their generational differences», - Williamson told Hollywood Life. «Her mom left when she was very young, so at first, she finds Ellie’s character really annoying, but then she realizes that it’s exactly the kind of figure she needs for her career, romantic relationships, and as a mother figure».

Acorn TV has not yet announced a second season of «You Kill Me», - but we hope for a new chapter in the banter between Andy and Ellie!
