Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga performed a new hit at a concert in Los Angeles

Bruno Mars invited the «pop queen» on stage during his concert in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 15. After introducing Lady Gaga to the large crowd, the duo performed their latest single «Die with a Smile» for the first time. Bruno, 38, played the guitar while Gaga, also 38, played the keyboard, singing their song about a love story with an end-of-the-world theme.
For the performance, the «Poker Face» hitmaker wore a high blonde wig, a sparkling pink and white checkered mini dress, and white high-heeled shoes. Bruno, on the other hand, was dressed in a pink collared shirt and black pants.
The concert had many celebrities in attendance. According to TMZ, stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Meghan Trainor, Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes, Simu Liu, Hailee Steinfeld, and Victoria Justice came to support the singer of «When I Was Your Man».
The Gaga and Bruno duo happened just a few hours after they confirmed their latest collaboration. The song and its accompanying music video were released on Friday, August 16, at midnight Eastern Time.
The song’s lyrics speak of lovers promising to stay together even if the apocalypse strikes.
«If the world ends / I want to be with you», - Gaga and Bruno sing in the chorus. «If the party ends / And our time on Earth ends / I would like to hug you even for a moment / And die with a smile / If the world ends / I want to be with you».
The release of the song came as fans speculated about a possible collaboration between the acclaimed musicians. Earlier this week, Gaga posted a video on Instagram wearing a t-shirt with Bruno’s image, playing the piano. Most interpreted this as a hint at their upcoming duet.
Previously, Bruno and Gaga had residencies in Las Vegas that almost overlapped in time. In June, the «Just the Way You Are» performer expressed his desire to perform with the «A Star is Born» actress.
«I would love to do [a song] with her», - Bruno said in an interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal. «I at least need to sing with her at her [residency]»
