Bruce Springsteen: from the boss of the working class to a billionaire
Bruce Springsteen is living proof that sometimes the boss has to work night shifts and have a hungry heart to achieve his new billionaire status.

But maybe he’s just tougher than the rest?

The 74-year-old singer from Jersey, who became the voice of working-class rock and roll, is now valued at $ 1.1 billion, according to Forbes' «conservative» estimate.

Springsteen is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time. He has won 20 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, and a special Tony Award for his critically acclaimed one-man show.

There is also a film in the works about Springsteen, which will tell the story of the making of his 1982 album «Nebraska». It was first announced that the film was in production in April 2024. The film does not yet have a premiere date, but we know that Jeremy Allen White will play the lead role.

The Grammy winner continues to tour even in his 70s, playing 3-hour shows night after night, recently in Stockholm as part of the European leg of his 2024 tour, which he and the E Street Band will continue in Bergen, Norway, in a few days.

Reviewing his show in Los Angeles on April 6, which was postponed due to illness in 2023, Chris Willman of Variety wrote: «Springsteen has staged a tour that is the most bitter show on earth until he finally becomes the happiest, and sometimes even the most humorous… and then becomes touching again for the final encore».

Springsteen grew up in a working-class family in a town on the Jersey shore and bought his first guitar after watching the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He played in bands in high school and released his debut album in 1973, «Greetings from Asbury Park, New Jersey».

Singing about the thrills and pitfalls of teenage life, young love, and the desire to escape New Jersey, Springsteen created hits like «Born to Run», - «Thunder Road», - «I'm on Fire», - and «Dancing in the Dark». He became a hero of the common man and one of the most important figures in American music
