The drama continues for the participants of the show «The Bachelor», as former contestant Maria Georgas is caught up in the storyline surrounding the breakup of Jenn Tran with her ex-fiancé, Devin Strader. The 30-year-old former contestant took to her Instagram Stories to announce that this time she «will not hold back».
During the «After the Final Rose» episode, 26-year-old Jenn revealed that Devin, 28, had been pulling away from her and making her feel secondary in his life. She confessed: «[Devin] basically said he no longer loves me and doesn’t feel the same way».
She added: «I thought I had found the person I would spend the rest of my life with, but as soon as we left Hawaii, everything changed. It seemed like he was pulling away. His efforts were inconsistent — he didn’t call or text as often. I was confused; I didn’t understand because we had just left so happy».
In a live broadcast, Devin explained his decision to end the relationship: «I found that I couldn’t meet those expectations in the real world. I found that I couldn’t meet the things you need and deserve. I saw how I contributed to your setback, and it hurt me. You don’t deserve to sacrifice your standards to be happy».
Maria, who met Jenn during their participation in the season of «The Bachelor» with Joey Grazidei, was dragged into the drama because Devin started following her on social media after ending his engagement with Jenn over the phone.
In an Instagram Story posted by Maria and then shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @zacharyreality on Wednesday, September 4, she wrote: «Just got back from a peaceful trip. This is not what I wanted to see when I returned home, but I have something to say, and this time I won’t hold back».
This is not the first time Maria has been linked to Jenn’s love journey. Before the season began, Maria revealed on the podcast «Call Her Daddy» that she was offered a role on «The Bachelor» but declined. «They asked me, and I had a choice, and I chose this. I said yes… What is being said now is disappointing. Coming back from this incredible journey and seeing all the speculation around it, it felt like it took away from what was my journey», - Jenn responded to these claims in a separate podcast interview
