Rose Gypsy Blanchard, despite living behind bars for several years, got married. The 32-year-old woman officially married her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, in 2022. However, they separated just three months after she was released from prison. According to reports, Gypsy filed for divorce from Ryan almost two weeks after their separation was announced.
«People ask what’s going on in my life», - Gypsy wrote on Facebook on March 28, 2024. «Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation, and I have moved back home to my parents down in Burundi. I have the support of family and friends to help me get through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to allow myself to find myself». Almost two weeks after their separation was announced, Gypsy reportedly filed for divorce from Ryan on Monday, April 8, 2024, according to TMZ.
The former spouses had plans for a family and much more. Ryan even admired his wife when she appeared on an interview on The View on January 5, 2024.

Ryan is from Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is a special education teacher at a middle school and sent her a letter when she was still in prison in 2020. «We met when the pandemic was really strong, and I had a lot of emotional ups and downs because of COVID», - Gypsy Rose told PEOPLE.
Ryan reached out to Gypsy Rose because of Tiger King, a popular Netflix documentary series. «My colleague at the time said, 'I want to write Tiger King.' I said, 'I'll tell you, if you write to him, I’ll write to Gypsy Rose Blanchard. I never thought she would become my wife», - Ryan said.
In his letter to Gypsy Rose, Ryan told her «everything» about himself. She eventually replied and said that the «main reason» she did it was because he was from her home state of Louisiana. They started communicating via email, and he was charmed from the moment he heard her voice.
Gypsy Rose acknowledges that Ryan has been her «emotional support for the past 3 years». She continues: «Ryan has seen me in good and difficult times. I would say he is probably the most compassionate soul I have ever met, and the most patient. God knows, he has been so patient with me, because I can be a difficult person. I can be an emotional headache».
Despite meeting in 2020, Gypsy Rose and Ryan met in person for the first time in July 2021. They obtained a marriage license in Chillicothe, Missouri, on June 27, 2022, according to The Springfield News-Leader. They got married in a small ceremony in prison on July 21, 2022.
The spouses had their difficulties. It seems they separated shortly after getting married in June 2022 in Missouri. In November, Gypsy told her family that she planned to file for an annulment, according to In Touch.
«With a heavy heart this morning, I made the decision to file for an annulment and end my marriage with Ryan», - Gypsy Rose’s letter read. «My marriage is ending without fault on either side. I believe we are just in different places in our lives and find it too difficult to walk the same path at this time».
However, neither Gypsy Rose nor Ryan ever filed for annulment. By mid-2023, she confirmed that they had decided to stay together. In response to former «Bachelor» star Josh Seiter, Gypsy Rose criticized him for sending her a flirtatious email.
