Christina Haack’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa are «supporting» the HGTV star, 41-year-old Christina, during her divorce from ex-husband Joshua Hall. During a new interview on Tuesday, July 23, 42-year-old Tarek noted that he and 36-year-old Heather are «here to help» Christina if she ever needs it.
«Life is tough, things happen», - Tarek told E! News about Christina, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2018. «We only have one shot at life, and we need to do what’s best for us, so whatever she needs, we’re here to help», - he added.
Since their divorce in 2018, Tarek and Christina have maintained a friendly relationship and co-parent their children Taylor and Brayden together. The reality show duo began their journey on HGTV in Flip or Flop, which aired from 2013 to 2022. Now, the former spouses are filming a new series called The Flip Off with Heather and Joshua. The show is set to air in 2025.
While it’s unclear how the show will address Christina and Joshua’s divorce, Tarek told the publication: «Interactions were pretty limited on camera. But there are a lot of really funny scenes. The show will be very fun».
Although Heather and Christina compete with Joshua and Tarek throughout the series, Heather revealed that sometimes she and Christina «love to team up against [Tarek]» from time to time. Her husband then joked that at some point it might be «girls against me».
Earlier this month, Joshua and Christina filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage. They started dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in September of the same year. They got married in 2022, but less than two years later, trouble in paradise clearly began.
According to their respective divorce filings, the divorced spouses cited different separation dates — Joshua stated it was July 8, but Christina from the show «Christina on the Coast» noted it was July 7. Additionally, Joshua is requesting that «all property acquired during the marriage, except that which was acquired by gift or inheritance, be equally divided», - including the couple’s home in Newport Beach, California.
For her part, Christina has asked the court to deny Joshua spousal support. She also stated in her divorce filing that she would like to determine how their and Joshua’s assets will be divided in the future. Neither Christina nor Joshua have publicly commented on their divorce
