Suzy Siegel, former assistant to Sean «Diddy» Combs, shared her experience working with him. During an appearance on CNN on Monday, May 20, Siegel reacted to a graphic surveillance video that recently resurfaced, showing Diddy, 54, attacking his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

«I obviously saw it along with the rest of America today. But when I saw it, I knew that he was capable of that», - Siegel said, adding that she did not believe his apologies and noting that «there wasn’t a cell in my body that was surprised» by his aggressive behavior towards Ventura.

However, Siegel pointed out that she «never saw him be rude to [Ventura] or be aggressive towards her or anything like that» when she worked as his assistant from 2008 to 2009.

«I would say that I spent a lot of time with him and understood who he was», - Siegel explained. «I didn’t see anything that could harm him. But I think there is a power dynamic in such a situation — especially she, at the beginning of her career, being so young, beautiful, and talented… I rode in limousines with them, went to parties with them. I think even if I never saw anything that could confirm what was in that lawsuit and what we just saw, there wasn’t a cell in my body that was surprised».

Siegel’s recent interview took place the day after Diddy posted a video on Instagram, apologizing for his violent behavior.

«I was in shock. I hit rock bottom, but I’m not making any excuses», - Diddy said in the clip. «My behavior in that video is inexcusable… I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted with myself when I did it, and I’m disgusted with myself now. I sought professional help, went to therapy, to rehab. I had to ask God for mercy and grace. I am so sorry, but I commit to being a better person. Every day».

In the 2016 surveillance video, Combs was seen dragging and hitting Ventura. They had been in a relationship for over ten years until they split in 2018. In November 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Diddy for sexual and physical violence. However, they quickly settled the lawsuit, and he denied all allegations of violence against him.

Four months later, federal law enforcement agencies conducted raids on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an investigation into sex trafficking.
