CBS is silent about the cancellation of FBI: Most Wanted, but Deadline reveals the reasons

CBS has not publicly discussed the cancellation of the series FBI: Most Wanted. However, according to Deadline, the cuts in the series, including the cancellation of FBI: International, may be related to CBS needing to make room for other renewed shows such as NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, Tracker, Fire Country, Elsbeth, and Matlock.
In May 2024, the publication also reported that actors from the FBI franchise had become part of cost-cutting measures, leading to a reduction in the number of episodes in which actors could appear. Regular cast members of FBI and FBI: Most Wanted suffered cuts in minimum guarantees, while actors from FBI: International were not affected.
The new spin-off titled FBI: CIA follows a dedicated, strict FBI agent and a cunning CIA agent who are part of a secret task force focused on solving and preventing domestic terrorism in New York and its surroundings, according to the show’s logline.
According to Deadline, the show is still in development and actors have not yet been chosen, although several actors are currently in negotiations
