YouTube TV has become a popular choice to replace cable television, but there is also Sling TV, one of the first streaming services offering live television broadcasts, and Hulu + Live TV, which has expanded the existing Hulu on-demand streaming service. However, all three have now faced price increases.

According to a representative from YouTube TV, the company explained the reason for its new price: the rising cost of content.
«Message to our members: we have always strived to offer you content that you love, with features to enjoy the best of live television broadcasts. To keep up with the growing costs of content, we are updating our monthly price to $ 82.99/month», - the company wrote on Twitter a month before the new price took effect. «We do not take these decisions lightly, and we understand that this affects our members. We are committed to providing you with features that change the way you watch live television broadcasts, such as unlimited DVR storage and multi-view, and to support the wealth of content on YouTube TV and the extensive library of movies and shows on demand».
