The annual golf championship takes place at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Unlike other major golf tournaments that change venues, the Masters always takes place at Augusta National, known for its impeccable course and iconic landmarks such as Amen Corner.
Last year’s world number 1, Scottie Scheffler, won the title, and he will return in 2025 to defend his crown against the strongest competitors from the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and LIV Golf.
The Masters begins on Thursday, April 10, and continues until Sunday, April 13, 2025. The first round started at 7:40 am Eastern Time with Davis Riley and Patton Kizzire. Defending champion Scheffler is set to tee off at 10:15 am Eastern Time alongside Justin Thomas and amateur Jose Luis Ballester. Another standout group — Rory McIlroy, Ludwig Oberg, and Akshay Bhatia — will start their round at 1:12 pm Eastern Time.
Unfortunately, 15-time major championship winner Tiger Woods will not be able to participate in the tournament as he recently underwent surgery for a ruptured left Achilles tendon
