Chrissy Teigen is not shy about showing her skin.
On Tuesday, August 13, the 38-year-old star posted a photo of her surgical scars on her Instagram Stories, posing in a deep black dress and a gold chain on her body during a «rare» date night with her husband John Legend.
«Date night, very rare, but it happens… chest out, scars out», - Teigen said in a short video clip.
Legend, 45, lovingly approached his wife of almost 11 years, matching her in black. «We're going for a walk», - he said, and then playfully added, «Oh yes, baby», - as the author of the book Cravings showed off her outfit in front of the camera.
«Wear a chain on your body», - Teigen continued, pointing to the sparkling chain near her scars. «It hides them, in a way».
Teigen, who is raising sons Miles, 6, and Renn, 1, and daughters Este, 1, and Luna, 8, with Legend, has been open about her surgeries in the past. In January, while appearing on the show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she revealed that she had undergone three breast augmentation surgeries.
Playing a game called «Lie Dominates», - Teigen initially presented her surgeries as a «lie», - saying, «I've had breast augmentation three times», - and then added, «I don’t even understand this game».
Later on the show, Teigen clarified that this statement was actually true. «I feel like the breast augmentation story won’t go anywhere, and now no one will know», - she joked. «I had a lift, an implant, an extraction. I don’t like when they’re out», - she added with a smile.
In March 2020, Teigen told Glamour U.K. that she had plastic surgery at the age of 20. The first procedure was motivated by her modeling career, as Teigen sought a tighter look for bikini photoshoots.
«I had a quarter 'teardrop' at the bottom and filling in the breast line. But now I want to remove them», - said Teigen, who made her modeling debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2010 issue. «If I could do one thing, it would be a lift».
She went on to explain to the magazine how pregnancy affected her breast implants, saying, «But then you have kids, they fill with milk and sag, and now I’m stuck».
«I think they need to be changed every 10 years», - she added. «But when you have kids, you think about the risks of surgery, and I think, 'I don’t want to die doing breast surgery.'»
