According to reports, Christina Haack’s husband, Joshua Hall, allegedly transferred $ 35,000 of her money to his own bank account. According to court documents obtained by multiple sources, the 41-year-old HGTV star claimed that Hall made this transaction during their divorce.
«I am asking Josh to account for the funds he took and return them to me, as these funds were specifically used to pay off loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance of these rental properties», - Haack said, citing documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, July 24. «Josh was able to divert over $ 35,000 of my separate rental income to his account».
The «Christina on the Coast» personality also claimed that Hall sent a text message to her professional property manager on July 8, the day after filing for divorce. In a screenshot reportedly included in her court documents, Hall’s text message to the manager read: «Hi. For June payments, can we send them to another account when the time comes? Thank you».
Haack, according to reports, claimed that she only learned of this conversation between Hall and her manager on July 21. She also noted in her recent court statement: «I would not have asked him to send my money to himself the day after I told him we were getting a divorce».
It is noted that Hall denied any wrongdoing.
Hall and Haack filed for divorce from each other earlier this month after nearly three years of marriage. They both cited different separation dates — Haack claimed they separated on July 7, while Hall claimed it was July 8. Additionally, Hall reportedly requested an equal division of their assets, while she requested that the court deny Hall the possibility of receiving alimony.
According to recent court records obtained by ET, Haack said: «I understand that at some point this court may require me to pay Josh some spousal support and reasonable attorney’s fees. However, I believe that this is a simple matter with direct accounting for a short period of time, any fees and expenses should be minimal».
Haack, who is the mother of children Brayden, Taylor, and Hudson, added in the court documents: «Like all hardworking mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work. I know that Josh has his own income and therefore should not need alimony from me. He has enough assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and expenses. Frankly, I am shocked and concerned that he diverted over $ 35,000 of my separate funds to his own account on July 8, 2024. The fact that this is the same date he now claims as our separation date, although it was actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the next day».
Neither Haack nor Hall have publicly commented on their divorce
