Compleat presents a collection of feeding tube costumes for children
Compleat has unveiled a new collection of Tubie-Ween costumes aimed at making Halloween more inclusive for children who are tube-fed. The collection features unique costumes developed in collaboration with three children and their families, along with the release of the first-ever toolkit for creating such costumes.

Each costume is based on the idea of the child themselves. Compleat brought together a professional costume designer with the expertise of seamstress and tube mom Rosa Watson to bring the children’s visions to life. For example, five-year-old Scarlett from Pittsville, Maryland, created the look of a «Magical Cowgirl Princess» with a pink and purple dress, a magic wand, and fairy wings, while one of the hearts on the costume provides access to her feeding tube.

Nineteen-year-old Wyatt from Silver Spring, Maryland, became «Super Wyatt» in silver armor and a mask, and his wheelchair was transformed into the «Wyatt Mobile», - which lights up as he moves. Nine-year-old Lavanda from St. Louis designed a costume that turns her into a vibrant bouquet of wildflowers.

According to Priyanka Malhotra, marketing director at Compleat in Nestlé Health Science, Halloween should be a time for self-expression and celebration with loved ones. She noted that by listening to real families who use tubes, the company hopes to inspire other families and demonstrate how thoughtful design can make Halloween more accessible.

Rosa Watson, whose daughter Lavanda is also involved in the project, emphasized the importance of creating costumes that reflect children’s dreams and individuality. Compleat is also encouraging neighbors to make Halloween more friendly by offering both edible and non-edible treats, such as toys or stickers, so that children with special needs can participate in the celebration.
