Cyndi Lauper announced that she will embark on a farewell tour this fall, unveiling the «Girls Just Wanna Have Fun» tour on Monday, June 3. The iconic 70-year-old singer announced a series of concerts in North America, which she calls a farewell tour. She shared the announcement with an epic montage of some of her many career achievements.
Cyndi did not release her own statement to accompany the tour announcement, but she shared a joint post with Live Nation announcing the tour. Throughout her career, Cyndi has released 12 studio albums, the latest being a cover version of «Detour» in 2016. She has also won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards (Best New Artist in 1985 and Best Musical Theater Album in 2014).
