Doug Mason shared his impressions of meeting Taylor Franky Paul’s children during the unaired season 22 of «The Bachelor». In an interview with the podcast «Bachelor Happy Hour», - he noted that he was aware of the significance of the moment and was prepared for the meeting.
According to Doug, children can sense the moods of adults, and he was happy to spend time with them. He emphasized that he loves kids and considers them the «future» and the «next level of life». Doug also mentioned that although he was «scared» about becoming part of Taylor’s family, he felt ready for that step.
Taylor is the mother of three children: daughter Indy (9 years old) and son Ocean (6 years old) from her ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as son Ever (2 years old) from her former partner Dakota Mortensen. Doug recalled that meeting Tate happened during «the most exhausting week» of his life when Tate asked him if he was ready for the changes that life with Taylor would bring.
In March, it was reported that Taylor’s season was pulled from ABC just days before its premiere due to an investigation into domestic violence. The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office ultimately declined to file charges against Taylor and Dakota, who both denied all allegations. Taylor is also involved in two separate custody lawsuits.
Doug confirmed that he supported Taylor during difficult times and was fully engaged in the relationship after meeting her children and parents.
