Dakota Fanning and the father-daughter relationship of Tom Cruise on screen continued after the filming of «War of the Worlds». During a recent appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, the 30-year-old actress revealed that her former co-star, 61-year-old Tom, gave her a significant gift when they worked together on the 2005 science fiction film.
«I celebrated my 11th birthday on the set of 'War of the Worlds' when we worked together, and he gave me my first mobile phone on that birthday», - Dakota explained on Tuesday, June 5, in the episode of the show, before revealing which phone Tom gave her. «It was a Motorola Razor».
Although the «Twilight» star «had no one to talk to» at 11 years old when she was a rising star, Dakota admitted that she really wanted a Motorola Razor, adding that she probably «talked a lot about it» around the «Mission Impossible» actor.
«I must have talked a lot about it, because that’s exactly what he bought me. It was such a wonderful memory», - Dakota said excitedly.
However, birthday gifts didn’t stop when she turned 11. Dakota revealed that since then, Tom has sent her gifts every year for her birthday — and it’s always the same.
