In the episode «Dallas girlfriends», - Victoria Kalina and her mom, Tina Kalina, threw a well-decorated birthday party at their home in Dallas. However, other Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) did not show up to the party, leaving her alone with her mom and making viewers wonder if they intentionally ignored the invitation.
«We had a performance in the morning, and that’s when [Netflix] asked, 'Can we come film? Can we celebrate with you?' And I said, 'Yes,'» Victoria, 24, recalled in the episode of the Be There in Five podcast on Monday, July 8. «I verbally and clearly expressed, 'Hey, Netflix is coming. There will be cake [and] the more the merrier.' But apparently, it didn’t reach them».

When asked if the event bothered her, Victoria replied, «No, because everything I said always seemed to just be ignored». She said that her DCC teams often «didn't fully acknowledge» what she said, and noted that the team regularly gathered to plan and celebrate other cheerleaders' birthdays.
The podcast host expressed some encouragement, saying, «And you deserve the same enthusiasm from real friends».
However, other DCC members are now speaking out, offering a different perspective on the birthday event.
Cheerleader Jessica Bowman wrote in a comment on TikTok to a clip from the podcast episode: «I really wish I could have been there to celebrate Victoria’s birthday, if given the chance. Praying she understands how much the team really supported her ❤️».
Sherman commented, «We would have absolutely supported her». Kolpakova added, «I'm so sorry it came to this. I hope you know that we support you, love you, and would never just not show up to your birthday»
