It seems that everyone on Earth is interested in the drama of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce. Even the national Democratic convention mentioned this situation. The host of the DNC convention, Mindy Kaling, seemed to acknowledge this situation during the third evening of the event on Wednesday, August 21.

«I can’t leave here without congratulating the amazing delegation from my home state of Massachusetts. I love you, Massachusetts!» began the 45-year-old actress and writer. «Everyone always hates us! But they just don’t understand! Let’s go, [Red] Sox! Let’s go, Jason Tatum!»

A member of the cast of «The Morning Show» added, «Ben Affleck, hang in there! Dunkin' Donuts — the best coffee in the world», - referring to the actor’s partnership with the franchise.

Just one day ago, Jennifer, 55, filed for divorce from Ben, 52, on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia. Neither of them has publicly commented on their breakup. However, the news came after four months of speculation about the couple’s marital status.

In her divorce statement obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, August 20, the «Jenny From the Block» singer cited the date of separation from the Oscar winner as April 26 of this year. According to the publication, Jennifer did not indicate whether she and Ben had signed a prenuptial agreement when they got married in Las Vegas in July 2022.

It is unclear why one of Hollywood’s favorite couples split up, but some of their disagreements were revealed in the documentary film «Jennifer's Greatest Untold Love Story», - which was released in February. The documentary showed that the pop singer reread old love letters from Ben while working on her album «This Is Me… Now». In response to his now ex-wife's actions, Ben said in the documentary, «I really found beauty, poetry, and irony in the fact that this is the greatest love story never told. If you’re making a record about it, it’s kind of like telling it».

Elsewhere in the documentary, Ben recalled his and Jennifer’s breakup in 2004. As he prefers a more private life compared to Jennifer’s fame, the «Argo» actor remembered telling the «Selena» star, «Listen, one of the things I don’t want is relationships on social media». However, Ben realized that this was not a «fair» request.

«And then I realized that it was unfair to ask», - he noted. «It's like you’re going to marry a ship captain, and you say, 'Well, I don’t like water.' … We’re just two people with different approaches trying to learn compromise»
