Children of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg: Rose, Tatiana, and Jack — a brief overview
23 november 2025 в 00:37
The Kennedy family is perhaps the most famous family in American politics, with numerous stories, legacies, and, of course, tragedies. The most well-known member of this family is perhaps John F. Kennedy, who served as the 35th President of the United States from 1961 until his assassination on November 22, 1963. John F. Kennedy had four children with his wife, former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, but only one of them — daughter Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg — is still alive. Caroline shares three children with her husband Edwin Schlossberg, two daughters, Rose and Tatiana, and a son, Jack.
Learn more about Caroline’s children and grandchildren below.
Caroline’s eldest child is Rose Kennedy Schlossberg. Born on June 25, 1988, Rose was named after her paternal great-grandmother. Rose bears a striking resemblance to her grandmother, Jackie, whom she called «Grandma Jackie». Unlike her relatives, the Harvard graduate did not pursue a career in politics, graduating from university in 2010 with a degree in English and obtaining a master’s degree in interactive telecommunications from New York University two years later. After her studies, she started a web series called «End Times Girls Club» with her friend Mara Nelson-Greenberg in 2016. The six-episode series from Above Average Productions was conceived as a humorous survival guide for women in the apocalypse, as reported by Mashable.
Although she did not choose a political path, she has still supported Democratic candidates in the past. She donated to former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign and to Alan Khazei’s campaign for the Massachusetts Senate seat in 2010. It is also said that she was close to her late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., with whom she shared similar interests (he co-founded the glossy political/style magazine George in 1995).
It was recently revealed that Rose is married to Rory MacLiff and helps out at her wife’s restaurant in Southern California. Rose apparently does not post anything on her Instagram.
Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg, Caroline and Edwin’s middle child, was born on May 5, 1990. After graduating from Yale University in 2012, Tatiana pursued a master’s degree in American history at the University of Oxford in 2014. A new mother who recently welcomed a newborn with her husband George Moran, she is best known for her work as a journalist for The New York Times, where she often writes about climate change. She has also written for The Atlantic and Bloomberg View and reported for the Bergen County Record, a local New Jersey newspaper. Tatiana’s interest in climate change led to the release of her book «Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don’t Know You Have», - which was published in August 2019. In addition to the Times, she has also worked as a columnist for Bloomberg.
Tatiana has remained close to her family. In 2013, on the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Tatiana spoke and participated in a ceremony at the memorial in the UK. In 2025, she revealed her diagnosis of terminal blood cancer with acute myeloid leukemia with a rare mutation in an essay published in The New Yorker.
The youngest sibling of Rose and Tatiana is John «Jack» Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg. Jack definitely resembles his uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in a tragic plane crash in 1999 when Jack was six years old. Another similarity with Jack is his grandfather, John F. Kennedy, in terms of entering public service. Jack worked as a political writer for the Washington Post, Time, and Politico, also founding the non-profit organization RelightNY while still in high school. The organization provides energy-efficient light bulbs to low-income families in New York and promotes environmental education.
During Caroline’s tenure as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan during the Obama administration, Jack lived abroad in Japan with his mother. In his speech as the host of the JFK Profile In Courage Award ceremony in 2017, Jack shared his experience. «I learned»
