Keith Urban, 56, was a true country music star when he found out he would become a father in 2008. Keith, who will perform at the finale of the 24th season of «The Voice» on December 19, was 40 when he welcomed his first child, a daughter, with his wife Nicole Kidman. «I just love being a parent», - he said in an interview with ABC News in 2018. «I didn’t know I would ever become one, it’s an incredible feeling».
Two years later, that feeling returned when the superstar couple welcomed a younger sister for their first daughter. And since then, it has been heaven for Keith. «I have many good memories of many Father’s Days that I have been able to spend with our girls so far», - he said in a 2017 video published by Rare. «For me… raising them now, I feel like it’s Father’s Day most of the time», - he added. «They write me nice things and draw me pictures. It’s just paradise».
Meet Keith and Nicole’s beautiful girls, Sunday and Faith, below.
Keith began a romance with Nicole after divorcing Tom Cruise, to whom she was married from 1990 to 2001. Nicole and Tom adopted two children together, daughter Isabella and son Connor. By the time of Keith and Nicole’s wedding in 2006, the Oscar-winning actress was ready to add to the family!
In July 2008, Keith and Nicole welcomed home Sunday Rose. The lovely name was suggested by Nicole’s father; Antony Kidman claimed that his granddaughter was named after the Australian arts patron Sunday Reed. «I read a little about Sunday Reed and her husband John. She was a key figure in the arts at the beginning of the century», - Antony said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, via Reuters. «The name Sunday seemed like a good name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it».
Two years after Sunday entered their lives, the couple welcomed Faith Margaret through surrogacy. And Keith couldn’t be happier that his home is filled with three ladies! «I like having girls», - he told ABC News. «You know, I grew up in a family without sisters, with one brother. So it was a real education in a good sense».
Although they admire Faith and Sunday in every interview, Keith and Nicole keep their daughters away from the public eye and do not show their faces in public photos, as seen on his Instagram. Of course, sometimes you can see them somewhere!
But it seems that something that Keith and Nicole keep their family life secret works perfectly for the whole team. «We have a real life in the sense that we do the most ordinary things as a family, and we don’t live constantly on social media», - said the performer of the hit «Blue Ain’t Your Color» to ABC News. «We don’t read tabloids… we don’t pay attention to it»
