Children of O.J. Simpson: everything you need to know about his five adult children

Several athletes have been as controversial as the late O.J. Simpson, 76. After making a name for himself as a college football player at the University of Southern California, the runner earned the nickname «Juice» and continued to play in the NFL. After retiring from the NFL, he began working in broadcasting and acting, but O.J. is perhaps best known for being arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. Despite a lengthy and widely publicized trial, O.J. was acquitted in October 1995. The former NFL player was found guilty of robbery in 2007, after he stole memorabilia from the Palace Station hotel and casino in Las Vegas. He was sentenced in 2008 and served nearly nine years before being granted parole in 2017. Despite all this, O.J. — who died in April 2024 — was also a father of five children.
His children announced his death on social media in a statement that read: «On April 10, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, lost his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you respect their wish for privacy and dignity».

O.J. married his first wife Marguerite L. Whitley in 1967. She gave birth to his first and eldest daughter Arnelle, 52, in December 1968. She grew up watching her father have a successful football career. Arnelle testified at O.J.'s trial when she was just 25, and she supported her father. In the years following the trial, Arnelle’s relationship with her father was strained as she faced some difficulties. In 2012, O.J. was reportedly angry at his daughter for not paying the mortgage on his South Florida home, according to DailyMail. She also apparently struggled with alcoholism. «O.J. constantly fought with Arnelle over her drinking, and he tried for years to get her married off to get her out of his house», - a source close to the family told DM. «She just sat around and drank vodka, even at breakfast».
O.J.'s son Jason, 51, was born in April 1970. Jason, perhaps the most well-known of Juice’s children, may be because he was also a suspect in Nicole’s murder. The theory was put forward by private detective William Dear in his book «O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove It», - reports Business Insider. Some of the reasons William suspected Jason might be the real killer of Nicole Brown include substance abuse, signs of mental illness, and another arrest for assault. Although he is very private, as of 2018, Jason worked as a chef in Atlanta, according to The Los Angeles Times.
O.J.'s youngest child with Marguerite, Aaren, was born in September 1977. Unfortunately, the baby died when she was just 1 year old in August 1979, a few days before her second birthday. Aaren accidentally fell into the family pool and was found unresponsive. She later died from respiratory failure, reports SportsCasting.
After divorcing Marguerite in 1979, the former NFL player married Nicole in 1985. Their daughter Sydney Brooke, 35, was born in October 1985. Sydney was only 9 years old when her mother was killed. In her childhood, Nicole’s daughter attended Gulliver Academy and eventually went on to attend Boston University, where she graduated in sociology in 2010, reports Legit.
O.J.'s youngest son Justin, 33, was born in August 1988. Justin was even younger than his sister when his mother was killed. He was only five years old. Justin and Sydney both live in St. Petersburg, Florida, according to a 2016 Tampa Bay Times article. He now works as a real estate agent
