David James, who also went by James Redford, passed away at the age of 58 in 2020 from bile duct cancer.
By the end of his life, Robert had two surviving children: Shauna and Amy.
Scott was born on September 1, 1959. He was Robert and Lola’s first child. Unfortunately, he passed away just two months after birth from SIDS. He was buried in Provo, Utah, where his late father lived in his final years.
Shauna was Robert and Lola’s second child. Born on November 15, 1960, Shauna is now an artist and is married to a journalist named Eric Schlosser.
David James followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming a director and environmentalist. He focused on documentary films and attended the University of Colorado Boulder, studying creative writing and film. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Northwestern University.
Before passing away in 2020 from bile duct cancer, David James received credits for screenplays of films including «Cowboy» and «Skinwalkers». He made his directorial debut with the film «Spin». In his life, he also underwent two liver transplants to treat primary sclerosing cholangitis: a disease affecting the bile ducts and liver.
Like her father, Amy became an actress and director. She studied drama at San Francisco State University before attending the University of Colorado Boulder and then LAMDA in England to focus on theater.
