David Woolley discusses Cody Brown’s departure from «Sister Wives»

Kristin Brown’s husband, David Woolley, shared his thoughts on why her ex-husband, Kody Brown, left the show «Sister Wives». In a TikTok video from October 7, he noted that he understands why Kody left, as he claims Kody «abandoned» not only Kristin but also his other ex-wives, Meri and Janelle Brown, and failed to fulfill his obligations as a father and husband.
Kody, who is 57 years old, is the father of 18 children from his marriages to Meri, Janelle, Kristin, and Robyn Brown. He is currently estranged from many of his children. Kristin separated from Kody in 2021 and married David in 2023. Janelle and Meri also announced the end of their spiritual marriages to Kody in late 2022 and early 2023, respectively. Kody is currently in a monogamous relationship with Robyn, and the couple left «Sister Wives» ahead of Season 21.
David noted that he was not surprised by Kody’s departure from the reality show, adding that «people talk about money, and that’s 10 million reasons». He suggested that Kody and Robyn simply didn’t want to deal with the situation anymore. Kristin also shared her theory, suggesting that Kody left when he could no longer control them. David agreed with her, adding that Kody «could no longer control the situation».
Before the start of filming for Season 21, Kody shared his thoughts about his ex-wives during a reunion of the Season 20 participants. He said he wanted «all the pain to end» so everyone could move on. Kristin and Janelle noted that they had already moved on, while Robyn supported her husband.
